Dr. Michael Schina was born and raised in South Philadelphia. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Schina was a trauma and peripheral vascular surgeon at Temple University Hospital. He was also on the faculty of Temple University before spending nearly a decade working in the research laboratories at Merck Pharmaceuticals. He was certified by the American Board of Surgery, has authored several publications, and given multiple presentations on a wide variety of medical subjects. Dr. Schina has been practicing interventional pain management for the last 8 years. He is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. Outside of work, he is an avid gardener, an audio/video savant, and has a big soft spot for his golden retrievers.
